Amietta Vineyard & Winery
Amietta is a highly awarded micro-boutique winery producing premium wine from a world-class vineyard site on the side of the Moorabool Valley. The owners, Nicholas Clark & Janet Cockbill, grow the grapes and make the wine with creative flair.
Amietta was the first producer in Australia to plant the ‘lost’ Bordeaux grape variety Carménère, it is the southern-most Victorian producer of the fascinating rare Italian grape variety Lagrein, and it is the only producer in the world to bottle a Shiraz-Lagrein blend.
The wines from Amietta are recognized by wineshow judges, critics and wine lovers alike as being distinctive, elegant and intense. They are individual, hand-made wines of great character. Only 450 cases are produced each year.
